In this edition of SANS Community Night scheduled on 28 November 2017, SANS Certified instructor Tim Garcia will be covering the benefits of collecting DNS logs as well as some of the things to look out for. In addition, Tim will be discussing how conventional DNS logs can be enriched to detect common adversarial techniques such as baby domains, Domain Generating Algorithms (DGA’s), and DNS tunneling. This talk will cover many of the techniques that will be taught in the upcoming SEC555 course scheduled from 12th March 2018 to 17th March 2018.
